Glenn Young Glenn Young, the Lead Consultant for CSLD, is an internationally recognized professional and consumer in the area of adults with learning disabilities. His life story of LD identification in his thirties, and subsequent literacy and education success, has been featured in several books and a feature article in US News and World Report. In addition, he authored several key articles in the US and England, which helped to refocus the whole field of LD to be more inclusive of all adults impacted by LD, particularly minorities, females and speakers of languages other then English.
After achieving a Masters in Public Administration, Mr. Young served 14 years in Federal Service, entering as a Presidential Management Intern (now call Presidential Management Fellows) (1991-1993) and serving with multiple awards and promotions, until having to take a medical retirement in 2004.

His last posting in Federal service was as the Disabilities and Adult Education Specialist, and the Correctional Educational Specialist for the US Dept. of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) (1998-2004), where his major responsitities included incorporation of disabilities policies into service delivery design for adult education programs and providing direct
technical assistance to international, national, regional and local organizations on disabilities impact on adult education, welfare and other employment and training programs, and development of new Federal efforts in these areas.
CSLD NEWS January 2008: CSLD contracts with GED testing services to redesign accommodation process for the GED test.
December 2007: CSLD launches new effort to increase the use of technology in the area of accommodations for Learning Disabilities.
September 2007: Glenn Young visits UK and meets with leading software developer to explore new approach to literacy through the use of technology.
